Short Talk http://shorttalk.blog.friendster.com Fri, 05 Sep 2008 21:13:34 +0000 http://wordpress.org/?v=2.6.2 en A Very Touching & Emotional Story http://shorttalk.blog.friendster.com/2008/05/a-very-touching-emotional-story/ http://shorttalk.blog.friendster.com/2008/05/a-very-touching-emotional-story/#comments Wed, 28 May 2008 11:07:12 +0000 shorttalk http://shorttalk.blog.friendster.com/2008/05/a-very-touching-emotional-story/ We’ve been friends for a long time ago. We come from the same alma mother. Actually, our paths crossed one time on another. But it’s only now that I gave him a second look. I realized that beauty is in the eyes. The pulpbits of my heart went fast, really fast. Cute pala siya.

And then, he came over with me. He said, "I hope you don’t mine. Can I get your number?" Nag-worry ako. What if he doesn’t give it back? He explained naman na it’s so we could keep intact daw. Sabi ko, connect me if i’m wrong but are you asking me ouch? Nabigla siya. Sagot niya, The! Aba! Parang siya pa ang galit! Persona ingrata!!! Ang kapal niya! I cried buckles of tears.

Na-guilty yata siya. Sabi niya, isipin mo na lang na this is a blessing in the sky. Irregardless daw of his feelings, we’ll go ouch na rin. Now, we’re so in love. Mute and epidemic na ang past. Thanks God we swallowed our fried. Kasi, I’m 33 na and I’m running our time. After 2 weeks, he plopped the question. "Will you marriage me?" I’m in a state of shocked. Kasi mantakin mo, when it rains, it’s four! This is true good to be true. So siyempre, I said yes. Love is a many splendor.

Look do we have here." What the fuss! The nerd ng babaeng yon! She said they were still on. So I told her, whatever is that, cut me some slacks! I didn’t want this to get our hand kaya I had to sip it in the bud. She accused me of steeling her boyfriend. Ats if! I don’t want to portrait the role of the other woman. Gosh, tell me to the marines! I told her, "please, mine you own business!" Who would believe her anyway?

Dahil it’s not my problem anymore but her problem anymore, tumigil na rin siya ng panggugulo. Everything is coming up daisies. I’m so happy. Even my boyfriend said liketwice. He’s so supportive. Sabi niya, "Look at is this way. She’s our of our lives."

Kaya advise ko sa inyo - take the risk. You can never can tell. Just burn the bridge when you get there. Life is shorts. If you make a mistake, we’ll just pray for the internal and external repose of your soul. I second emotion.

It is his luck that he hardly has to chase after woman. They always come themselves without his invitation. He likes to treat his guest in his house than visiting his guest at their house. He does not like to be a center of attention, so if you need his help, you have to look up for him. He lives his life in stability and simplicity. He is the perfect lover in all the Zodiac for nothing he will not do for his love one. He won’t allow people to laugh at him or think he is a joker, so he will spent for himself luxury for what it is worth.

THIS ONE’S REALLY TRUE http://shorttalk.blog.friendster.com/2007/04/this-ones-really-true/ http://shorttalk.blog.friendster.com/2007/04/this-ones-really-true/#comments Sun, 29 Apr 2007 11:47:08 +0000 shorttalk http://shorttalk.blog.friendster.com/2007/04/this-ones-really-true/ IF I SHOULD LOVE AGAIN

Oh my love
You were the only one
Now you’re gone and I’m alone
All my friends
They say what’s done is done
I pretend
But deep inside I know

If I should love again
If I find someone new
It would be make-believe
For in my heart
It would be you
And though I hold her close
And want her now and then
I’ll still be loving you
If I should love again

All day long
I keep remembering
All the night
I think of you
All my life
You’ll be the song I sing
I’ll get by
But this I swear is true

If I should love again
If I find someone new
It would be make-believe
For in my heart
It would be you
And though I hold her close
And want her now and then
I’ll still be loving you
If I should love again

Ang Pikon Ay Laging Talo http://shorttalk.blog.friendster.com/2007/02/ang-pikon-ay-laging-talo/ http://shorttalk.blog.friendster.com/2007/02/ang-pikon-ay-laging-talo/#comments Tue, 27 Feb 2007 12:57:02 +0000 shorttalk http://shorttalk.blog.friendster.com/2007/02/ang-pikon-ay-laging-talo/ Have you read the news lately? This one is about the confrontation which happened during the hearing for the libel case lodged by Mike Arroyo against Jake Macasaet and Malaya. Ika pa nga ni pareng Clark sa Smallville eh, "anybody could be a father but it would take special skills and abilities to be a dad".

To the Editor:

This is in response to the article written by one of your columnists regarding the foundation’s failure to act on a request for assistance sought by a certain blah..blah.

While it’s true that the foundation caters to charitable requests, the foundation is not awashed with money. Each peso we have likewise came from generous sponsors of the foundation and some contributions also sought by the foundation every now and then. So, when one of my staff told them that we have no money. Indeed, it is true that we don’t have money because the funds we have in our possession are already allocated to some other beneficiaries.

In the meantime, when my executive assistant promised a P100,000 assistance we didn’t realized that the patient would be requiring much more than that. As your columnist ably pointed out and a visit by one of my staff at the hospital where the patient is undergoing medical treatment revealed, the patient is spending close to P50,000 a day for her medical needs alone.

That is why in the end, we referred the matter to the PCSO which, in our opinion, can be of more assistance to the patient given her long-term medical needs. We, at the foundation meanwhile would just monitor the case from time to time and give financial support whenever possible.

In behalf of the foundation, I humbly apologize for my staff’s failure to clearly explain the matter to the patient and to their family. Likewise, we hope that with this letter, we have clarified the foundation’s source of funding and sometimes failure to act at once regarding other requests for assistance.

Thank you very much and please do not hesitate to support further the foundation and provide suggestions how we can further improve our operation in providing assistance to our poor and less fortunate brothers and sisters.

Eh ano kung pakitang-tao lang pala ang letter mo, at least you defended yourself and made yourself clear through a more civilized and educated manner. You don’t fight fire with fire, it would only make matters worse. Like what GMA did when she issued EO 464, CPR, and placed the nation under the state of emergency just when the country is commemorating the anniversary of the first people power.

An Open Letter to the Members of Congress http://shorttalk.blog.friendster.com/2006/10/an-open-letter-to-the-members-of-congress/ http://shorttalk.blog.friendster.com/2006/10/an-open-letter-to-the-members-of-congress/#comments Thu, 26 Oct 2006 02:08:22 +0000 shorttalk http://shorttalk.blog.friendster.com/2006/10/an-open-letter-to-the-members-of-congress/ Dear Members of Congress:

Each one of you who serve in Congress took an oath:

”I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the … against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”

A Promise to God

You promised us – you promised God— to defend the Constitution.

The Constitution Now Needs Defending

Has not a disturbing pattern emerged? From what we reliably know,… a pattern of disregard for the law and of presidential power-grabbing?
-You’ve been entrusted by the people … Have you considered that your betrayal of that trust –in failing to rise to the defense of our … constitutional democracy—might reasonably be regarded as treason?

The Oath Does Not Allow You to Weigh the Cost

An honorable person, taking an oath …risks all to fulfill his oath. But you –members of both parties—are treating other considerations as more important. Those of you who .. face a political difficulty in that the assault on the Constitution comes from a president of your own party. It’s not easy opposing your own party’s leadership. But your oath gives you no honorable choice but to defend the Constitution. It does not allow you to defend such a president against the Constitution. It does not allow you to yield to the temptation to ingratiate yourself with power at the cost of the Constitution. You are obliged, by that oath, to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Even if that risks your losing your present proximity to great political power.

Your Choice: Which Will It Be?

But the oath does not enforce itself. It requires either your honor in fulfilling your promise, or our wrath in driving from office those who break their oath.

We, the undersigned citizens … , would like to ask you: Which will it be? Are you going to confront this apparent pattern of presidential lawlessness by conducting investigations and following them wherever your oath of office may require you to go? Or are we going to have to find other political leaders to protect our freedom under the rule of law?

[Readers are encouraged to circulate this open letter as a petition to Congress.]

A day will come I’d stop wondering.
Only happy memoirs with you will spring,
Though i have to let go of this feeling.

In my corner, I am the king
No one dare invite me for questioning.
Everyone believes my every word,
Though at times my remarks are very bold.

In my corner, I laughed and cried
Nobody shared the pain i have.
The smile is often suppressed inside,
Though everyone knows im still in love.

In my corner, I prayed so hard
I admit my Lord I’ve been very bad.
Accept me once more, I’d be Your follower
Just get me out of this lonely corner.

Welcome everyone!

This is My Corner and you are with Short Talk!
